Gender Based Violence
Gender-based violence is any violence directed at someone because of their gender. This type of violence mostly affects women and girls, but it can impact anyone. It is also called violence against women.
The Women’s Safety Hub is a multilingual resource created with the input of migrant and refugee women, community organisations, and specialist service providers through a co-design process.
Migrant and refugee women can use the Women’s Safety Hub to find information in their own language that fits their needs. The hub covers topics such as domestic and family violence, sexual violence, coercive control, and financial abuse. It also offers guidance on technology-facilitated abuse, psychological abuse, and social abuse. In addition, the Women’s Safety Hub provides details for specialist services and other support providers who help migrant and refugee women. This resource aims to support women's safety and well-being, making sure they have access to the help and information they need.
